Co-Founder's Vision - Vikas Narula
Have you ever felt the urge to throw something against the wall in a moment of anger? To break, smash, or release everything that's been building up inside?
In today's fast-paced urban life, such emotions are common, but healthy outlets are rare.
Recognizing this growing need, I envisioned Rage Cage as more than just an entertainment concept. It is a purpose-driven space designed to help individuals channel their emotions safely and rediscover balance in their lives.
The Idea Behind Rage Cage
Rage Cage, launched under Vent and Smash Co. LLP in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, is built as a safe and controlled environment where people can express frustration without harm - to themselves or others.
With my background as an engineer from Delhi College of Engineering and years of entrepreneurial experience across Delhi NCR, I have always believed that businesses should not only serve markets, but also solve real human problems.
Rage Cage is our answer to one such problem - unreleased stress in modern urban living.
Beyond a Conventional Rage Room
- A Rage Room for emotional release
- Axe Throwing for controlled physical engagement
- An Archery Cage for focus and discipline
- A Gaming Zone for relaxation and social interaction
This combination is intentional. While physical destruction provides immediate catharsis, activities like archery and gaming help individuals regain composure, focus, and mental clarity. The goal is not just release, but recovery.
The Psychology Behind the Concept
The foundation of Rage Cage lies in the psychological principle of catharsis - the idea that expressing suppressed emotions can reduce stress and restore emotional balance.
However, I strongly believe that venting alone is not enough. True emotional well-being comes from pairing release with stabilization. That is why Rage Cage integrates high-energy activities with grounding experiences, ensuring that individuals leave not just lighter, but calmer and more centered.
A Medically Informed Approach
This philosophy is further strengthened by insights from my daughters:
- Dr. Sharon Narula (Psychiatry)
- Dr. Sherry Narula (MBBS)
Their understanding of emotional health reinforces that controlled physical release, when practiced in a structured and safe environment, can help manage acute emotional overload.
At the same time, they emphasize the importance of follow-up grounding activities to improve long-term emotional regulation and reduce impulsive behavior - an approach we have deeply embedded into the Rage Cage experience.
Design That Reflects Purpose
Every element of Rage Cage is designed with intention.
Unlike spaces that use bright, aggressive colors, we have chosen dusky grey interiors. This subtle and muted environment prevents overstimulation and helps individuals gradually transition from a state of intensity to calm.
The design itself becomes part of the healing process.
Our Vision for Urban India
In a city like Delhi - where time is limited, pressure is high, and emotional bandwidth is constantly stretched - Rage Cage aims to provide more than just an escape. It offers a complete emotional experience.
A space where people can:
- Release stress
- Rebuild clarity
- Regain control
A Personal Commitment
For me, Rage Cage is not just a business venture - it is a reflection of a deeper belief:
“It is not just about breaking things; it is about rebuilding control, clarity, and calm within oneself.”
Our vision is to create a new category of experiential spaces in India - where entertainment meets emotional well-being, and where every individual leaves stronger than they arrived.
